WHERE IS ISUBILO?
Isubilo is based in Chifubu, a densely populated urban township on the outskirts of Ndola, the third largest city in Zambia. It serves three townships with a joint population of around 120,000 people, many living in overcrowded conditions with very limited basic services and sanitation.
The Isubilo project operates from buildings clustered inside a walled compound and the centre is a converted tavern in a plot of more than an acre. The buildings have been refurbished into a clinic, pharmacy, packing and storage rooms, seminar hall, meeting area, kitchens, mill and offices.
